Everyone's time is valuable. When you need our service, we promise to show up on tiime and fix it right the first time.

Hours & Location

Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with 24-hour emergency service every day, including weekends and holidays.

Our shop is located at 809 Wisconsin Ave in North Fond du Lac. Stop by and say, "hi" some time.

Our History

E. C. Merrill is a family owned, 4th generation, plumbing, heating, and cooling company.

The business was started by current owner Jay Merrill's grandfather, Erwin C. (Irv) Merrill - he's the one pointing in the picture - in 1949 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin as a family business, originally focused on steam and hot water heating systems, primarily for the commercial and industrial market.

In 1964, E.C. moved to Arizona and the company reigns were taken by Jay's father, Russ. During this time the company expanded adding plumbing and sheet metal capabilities. Beginning in 1967 Jay worked after school and during the summer, digging ditches and other assorted tasks, literally learning the bussiness from the ground up.

Following 3 years of military service and college, Jay joined the company full time in 1978, assuming control when Russ retired in 1989. In 1995, Jay made the decision to refocus the bussiness for residential and light commercial work, concentrating on service and replacement of exisitng systems.

In 2000, Jay purchased Sig's heating of North Fond du Lac, expanding our service area from Oshkosh to Fond du Lac and many of the surrounding communities, including Winneconne, Omro, Van Dyne, and as far south as Oakfield.
